Reducing alcohol consumption

At Cranbourne Stawell Clinic, we are aware that research evidence suggests that the most effective policies for reducing alcohol consumption and related harms are those focused on restricting its availability and accessibility; however, such strategies are often not implemented or enforced for political and economic reasons.

Undertaking screening and brief intervention are effective ways of addressing problematic alcohol consumption within primary case and this can be further supported through promoting community organised periods of abstinence.

If you believe that you have a problem with alcohol or wish to discuss any related issue, please arrange an appointment with one of our General Practitioners. You can contact us on (03) 5996 4799 or book an appointment online.
